Wolf and Dositej Museum, Belgrade 2016

The Wolf and Dositheus Museum - Singidunum was the starting point of one of the most important traffic routes of the Balkan Peninsula in the Middle Ages, the Constantinople Road, the forerunner of which was the ancient Roman road, the Via militaris. This fact, together with the current events concerning migration in Europe, inspired us to make migration and roads the theme of the seventh Night of Researchers in Serbia, and this thread will run through all our settings. In addition to Belgrade, the other cities where the event will take place are located on former ancient roads.

On the last Friday in September, from 5 to 10 p.m., the citizens of Belgrade will be able to learn more about the migration of peoples, migration and ringing of birds, about the foreign origin of the words we use every day and the influence of other peoples on our language, about ethnomusicology, old instruments and songs, and all that with an emphasis on the methodology used in those areas of research. As a supplement to migrations, we will have four corners (Evo, Local, Wiki and Euro), like the four sides of the world. Slightly more daring visitors will be able to compete with the researchers in a general culture quiz. All that and much more awaits you at several locations in the city center.
