The city whose origins are linked to the Fire Wolf Dragon - Vuk Branković - was built on the former imperial road from the Roman and medieval periods that connected the north and south of the Balkan Peninsula. It is surrounded by the rivers Danube, Veliki Morava and Mlava. Today, Požarevac connects parts of Serbia with the highway Belgrade - Niš and the railway Belgrade - Bor - Zaječar. In its vicinity is Viminacium, a Roman military camp and a city founded in the 1st century, the former capital of the Roman province of Upper Moesia. Since Požarevac lies in an area that has connected different parts of Europe for almost two millennia, it is an excellent place to dedicate ourselves to migrations and peoples in an interesting way.
On September 29, residents of Požarev and their neighbors from the surrounding municipalities will be able to have a great time socializing with anthropologists, microbiologists, astronomers, neurobiologists, mycologists, historians, geographers and learn more about migrations and peoples. In addition to migrations, we will have four corners - Evo, Local, Wiki and Euro. As part of the Local Corner, visitors will socialize with professors and students of the Požareva Grammar School, the "Sveti Sava" Elementary School, the "Nikola Tesla" Technical School with Student Home from Kostolac, and the "Miloš Savić" Elementary School from Lučica. Visitors will also have the opportunity to compete with a team of scientists through fun and games.
You will also be able to see the results of the five best research projects selected in the Science Incubator competition, which were implemented at the Petnica Research Station during May this year.
