Novi Sad 2018
This year, the ninth Night of Researchers in Serbia, will be held on Friday, September 28, from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., at two locations in Novi Sad, and will be particularly diverse.
The theme of this year's Night of Researchers is science that connects - whether it is science that deals with the question of how man connects with a machine or some interdisciplinary research that connects several scientific fields in order to solve a problem. That is why this year we are presenting 8 interdisciplinary research groups whose scientists can be met live at the Night of Researchers and can also be seen on billboards in the city. This year, we will pay special attention to cultural heritage, as 2018 has been designated as the International Year of Cultural Heritage.
In the BIG shopping center, you will see numerous scientific exhibits and participate in interactive science workshops that aim to convey the science behind the various types of connections and connections that we encounter in nature and around us, but will also show you how all science is connected to our lives. In the same place, you will be able to talk about some problems in science that permeate several fields with members of our interdisciplinary research groups over coffee or tea.
On the occasion of the Night of Researchers and the Year of Cultural Heritage, the Museum of Vojvodina will open its doors on September 26 and organize expert guidance through the exhibition.
At the new location, in the LAB cultural center, on Saturday, September 22, you can expect a forum on how social networks have changed the way people connect, while on the Night of Researchers, you can expect a popular lecture on food and cuisine typical of this region, which will be followed by tasting the flavors of Vojvodina, poetry inspired by science and scientists, as well as the already traditional scientific quiz, followed by a party with the band Justin Case.
