This year, the eleventh "Researcher's Night" in Novi Sad, Serbia, will be held on Friday, November 27, but its celebration will begin as early as November 15!
The theme of this year's Night of Researchers is digital science! In the digital age, scientists increasingly use digital tools in their research, data and measurement results are increasingly available on online platforms, and smartphones have become a tool with which we educate ourselves, collect data, process data and, in a word, research. That's why this year we want to present to you all the ways in which we can research, learn and engage in science using digital media.
Most of the programs this year will be in online format no less fun and interactive than previous years. We have prepared for you recordings of numerous demonstrations that will be posted on this website as well as on ours YouTube channel. In the very Night of the Explorers November 27 and is waiting for you live program which will be broadcast on the same channel. On that occasion, several lectures will be held on the subject of the COVID-10 epidemic, but also on the scientific achievements that have taken place this year of the pandemic. During the live broadcast, visitors will be able to ask questions to our lecturers in the comments. On the same day, you will be able to chat live over coffee and juice with our scientists at some locations in the city. From November 15 will be installed in the pavilion next to the building of the Rector's Office of the University of Novi Sad interactive exhibition "Science Playground" which can be visited every day from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
We have prepared a special treat for you this year Night of explorers application for android phones. Within this application is Science Hunt Game which will take you on a mission to discover and collect scientific trophies throughout the city. Yours are also there AR guides through the science playground who will keep you company in augmented reality in the pavilion of the Rectorate of the University of Novi Sad, where the exhibition "Science Playground" will be installed. And finally, this app is also a seeker of scientists with whom you will be able to socialize and talk over coffee and juice this year on November 27. The "Explorer's Night" application will be launched on November 15.
