Scientific market
The research station Petnica turns into a science market on the night of September 30 from 5 p.m.! Visitors will be able to visit the stands, each dedicated to a specific scientific…
Petnica is a small town near Valjevo, founded in the 15th century. Known for Petnička Lake Pocibrava and Petnička Pećina, which has great speleological and paleontological value, but above all it is an important archaeological site where the remains of the oldest Neolithic settlement (6000 years old) were found. However, today Petnica is best known for its Research Station, a kind of "school for talents" - a place where work is done to educate young people who go beyond the level of regular school programs, and is therefore unique in the territory of Central and Southeastern Europe. The programs of the Research Station Petnica include a wide range of fields and disciplines within natural, social and technical sciences.
Is there a better place to hold, the seventh in a row in Serbia, the Night of Researchers with the central theme "Migration and Roads"? In Petnica, there is a daily migration of knowledge from the lecturers, who are experienced scientists and researchers, to the participants, and the migration of scientific ideas in all directions!
Join us in the Night, September 30 from 16-20 hu IS Petnica to get your share of knowledge and ideas: research, display and seek knowledge!
