Petnica is a small place near Valjevo, founded in the 15th century. Known for Lake Petnička and Petnička Pećina, which has great speleological and paleontological value, but above all it is an important archaeological site where the remains of the oldest Neolithic settlement (6000 years old) were found. However, today Petnica is best known for its Research Station, a kind of "school for talents" - a place where work is done to educate young people who go beyond the level of regular school programs, and is therefore unique in the territory of Central and Southeastern Europe. The programs of the Research Station Petnica include a wide range of fields and disciplines within natural, social and technical sciences.
Is there a better place to hold, the eighth in a row in Serbia, the Night of Researchers with the central theme "Knowledge at first glance"? In Petnica, the transfer of knowledge takes place every day from the lecturers, who are experienced scientists and researchers, to the students, and the transformation of scientific ideas in all directions!
Join us on the Night, September 29th from 4-8pm IS Petnica visiting this interesting "Science Market"!
