Do you know who the alumni are?

Alumni is a word of Latin origin (lat. alumnus), which refers to former members of an educational institution, usually students or pupils, who in some way remain connected to it. The importance of the existence of alumni groups is reflected in the spread of awareness in society about the alumni idea and culture, as a form of socially responsible behavior. Also, through contact with alumni, the ties between the parent educational institution, whether it is a school or university, and the generations of former and current students as well as their friends in the country and the world are strengthened.

"School Trail" program

As part of the manifestation of the European Night of Researchers 2024 and part of the program called "School Trail", and in cooperation with colleagues from the University of Novi Sad, we will visit schools, which some of them have graduated from, both in Novi Sad and in other cities and smaller places in the area. Scientists and professors of the University of Novi Sad will visit the students who are currently sitting in their former school desks in schools in Gložan, Beocin, Sremska Mitrovica, Šid, Nikinci and Sušek and will share with them their experiences on the way to success and give them popular lectures in the areas that deal with A special segment will deal with the topic of the development of new technologies and how the accelerated development of artificial intelligence affects their field of research. With the "School Trail" program, we want to: inspire students to firmly strive for the realization of their goals and dreams, to better recognize and take advantage of opportunities on the path of their education, to strengthen the connection between schools, their current and former students, and in this way to encourage the development of the system support in the improvement of educational institutions and individuals.
