15th European Night of Researchers - "Attention! Science on the road" on September 27 throughout Serbia
Renewable energy sources, fuel of the future, microplastics, liquid wood, bibliotherapy, decoding the secret of life, honey bees, plastic eating bugs, forensic insects, secrets of sky hunters, artificial intelligence and time travel are just some of the topics in the focus of the 15th European Night of Researchers.
The largest and most attractive scientific and entertainment event in the country, the European Night of Researchers, will be held for the fifteenth time this year, on September 27 from 4 to 10 p.m., in 16 cities across Serbia. Under the slogan "Attention! Science on the road" will be a night full of surprises, new discoveries and incredible experiments.
The European Night of Researchers is simultaneously held in over 400 cities in 23 European countries, and in Serbia it brings new interactive workshops, astonishing knowledge, scientific challenges and unforgettable moments.
Scientific adventures will be held in Belgrade, Smederevo, Kragujevac, Čačak, Kruševac, Ranovac, Zaječar, Niš, Pirot, Leskovac, Subotica, Mokrin, Kikinda, Novi Sad, Inđija and Šabac.
As every year, the programs will be completely free for visitors.
Once again, scientists will reveal the secrets of the world around us and teach us how to protect our health and the environment. It will show that science can also be fun, creative and magical through various workshops, games, exhibitions, escape rooms, quizzes and, of course, indispensable attractive experiments!

Program in Belgrade will be held in the European House, where there will be a ceremonial opening of the event with the support of the EU Delegation in the Republic of Serbia, then on the plateau in front of the National Museum on Republic Square and the Faculty of Mathematics, in the Museum of Natural History, the Belgrade Zoo, the Science Club of the Center for the Promotion of Science, the Observatory Astronomical Society "Ruđer Bošković" on Kalemegdan, Botanical Garden "Jevremovac" and TC Big fashion.
Novi Sad will host Researchers' Night in Prostor na Petrovaradin and TC Big.
Locations in A niche will be the National Museum, University Library, Science Club and TC Delta Planet.
The plateau in front of the House of Culture and the Ponišavlja Museum will be the center of events in Pirot, TC Big fashion in Kragujevac, Mokrin House will represent Kikindu, Pionirski park will be a gathering place in Krusevac, and City Square in Leskovac.
Cacak will hold this event on the city bank of Zapadna Morava, the City Square and in the Science and Technology Park.
The cultural center and the town square are the main locations in Whisper, while he will Ranovac Celebrate the Night of Researchers on the City Square in Petrovac na Mlava.
The regional center will host this scientific adventure in Smedereva, Vojvode Stepe Street will be illuminated by science in Indians, and the high school center in Zajecaru.
Already traditionally, as an introduction to the European Night of Researchers, it will be held from September 23 in almost all the mentioned cities European Week of Researchers.
The European Night of Researchers is organized with the support of the European Commission throughout the Old Continent, with the aim of affirming researchers and science in an interesting way, bringing their work closer to the general public and encouraging young people to opt for a scientific research career.
This great scientific adventure in Serbia is realized through two projects: ReFocuS FLOW and TRAILS.
Project coordinator ReFocus FLOW (Road to Friday of Science FLOWs) is the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" - an Institute of national importance for the Republic of Serbia, in partnership with the Center for the Promotion of Science, the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Niš and the University of Kragujevac.
Project coordinator TRAILS (TRAIN RESPONSIBLE AI LEARNING SOCIETY) is a creative educational center in partnership with the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad, the Association of Scientific Communicators NAUKOM, the College of Vocational Studies from Subotica and the Center for the Promotion of Science
The projects were financed from the program "HORIZON EUROPE", the largest program of the European Union for research and innovation activities, and within the sub-programme "Marija Sklodovska-Curie".
At this year's European Night of Researchers, current programs and funds of the European Union available for the realization of scientific, artistic, entrepreneurial and other ideas will be presented, as well as the support of the SAIGE Project (Serbia Accelerating Innovation and Growth Entrepreneurship Project), dedicated to strengthening scientific research and innovative entrepreneurship in the Republic Serbia, which is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the World Bank and the European Union.
