Krajputasi and the Dragačev stonemasonry school

"There is no reliable data from when the stone-cutting craft in Dragačevo dates back, but it can be determined with certainty that this craft flourished during the 18th and especially the 19th century." This is the period when stone monuments begin to be used en masse and replace the old, wooden tombstones that were short-lived, and stonemasons from Dragačevo make monuments for almost the whole of Western Serbia. Namely, Dragačevo is rich in sandstone fields, which were extremely suitable for processing, painting resumes and writing epitaphs in memory of the deceased.

The workshop will have two parts: The first will be a trip to the field and finding a by-pass, and the second will be work in the art workshop of the Čačak Mechanical and Traffic School."
