Ana Marić was born in Belgrade in 1985, where she completed elementary school and high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Biology in Belgrade in 2010, majoring in Ecology and Environmental Protection. She is employed at the Faculty of Biology at the University of Belgrade as an assistant professor. At the Department of Morphology, Systematics and Phylogeny of Animals, he deals with ichthyology both at the molecular level (molecular and population genetics) and at the level of ecology and conservation biology of freshwater fish. As part of her doctoral dissertation, she dealt with the phylogeography and genetic structure of brown trout populations in the rivers of Serbia. He is a fan of being active in nature and traveling.
