Ivana Perović is a senior research associate at the Institute for Nuclear Sciences in Vinča, an Institute of national importance for the Republic of Serbia. She received her doctorate in electrochemistry from the Faculty of Physical Chemistry and is an expert in the physical chemistry of materials. Her research focuses on the development and characterization of new materials for energy storage and generation. Throughout her career, she has made major contributions to the analysis of the energy efficiency of electrodes used in industrial electrolysis for hydrogen production, as well as in advanced electrochemical systems such as supercapacitors, batteries and fuel cells. Outside the laboratory, Ivana enjoys finding new solutions for a better future for our planet, and she passes on her passion for science to younger generations through numerous projects and international collaborations. Her knowledge has been recognized and rewarded, and among the awards, the second prize in the competition "Best Technological Innovation" stands out.
