The focus of his doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade was the investigation of the coevolution of two genomes, mitochondrial and nuclear, and the role they play in senescence in the bean seed. His current research at the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" deals with the study of the effects that mutations in the mitochondrial genome have on the characteristics of weevils, which arise as a consequence of the evolutionary process "mother's curse". He is one of the authors of the exhibitions and catalogs "From Cell to Domain - Evolution of Life on Earth" and "ZooMozgology". When not in the lab, he helps other scientists with their research by participating in citizen science projects.
