Nenad Ilić, known as the "Ruler of Aquatic Ecosystems", is a second-year student of doctoral academic studies in biology at PMF in Niš. His love for biological adventures began during his undergraduate studies in biology, and then branched out during his master's studies in ecology. If anyone needs a map of small water bodies, Nenad is the man! Currently, Nenad is engaged in aquatic ecosystem research, focusing on small aquatic oases and their macrozoobenthos – secret inhabitants that hardly anyone notices. He is famous for being able to distinguish the type of aquatic insect by the smell of the mud itself! His friends often say that he is able to hold a conversation with leeches and can make a joke about any waterfall. His dream is to one day organize a big festival in honor of all the small bodies of water and their inhabitants. Nenad's motto is: "Every little body of water has its own big story, and I'm here to tell it - and make you laugh along the way!"
