Saša Ranchev was born in Nis. He finished primary and secondary school in Dimitrovgrad. He graduated and received his doctorate from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Niš and holds the title of research associate. He works as a professional associate in the PMF physics laboratories. He participated in numerous science festivals in Serbia. He was a member of the team on the "Astronomy from the armchair" project in 2013 and the coordinator of the "Eco-Lighting" project in 2014 as part of the Start for the Future program, funded by the Philip Morris company. From 2013 to 2018, he was the leading quality control engineer at Photon Optronics in Niš. He is engaged in research in the field of physics of electric gas discharges and plasma. He has published several scientific works in this field. In his free time, he spends time in nature, goes fishing and occasionally attends dance events related to Latin dances.
