Vesna Stankov Jovanovic completed primary and secondary school in Pirot. She had a lot of trouble choosing her future profession. Mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, geography, languages and sports were her great loves. However, she decided on chemistry because it offered an opportunity for both theoretical and practical work. She finished her chemistry studies in Niš as the best in her generation and as a "Tigra" scholarship holder she was supposed to get a job there. But her love for science prevailed and she decided to continue her research and educational work at the university. She received her doctorate in Belgrade, and completed her postdoctoral studies in Paris. He is a full professor at PMF in Niš. He deals with analytical chemistry, although he enjoys whenever he crosses chemistry with other sciences because the loves of youth are indelible. She is the chief editor of the scientific journal "Chemia Naissensis". He collaborates with colleagues from all over the world through international projects. She is still curious and enjoys every moment of her calling, especially through cooperation with young people.
