Vukašin Janković, born in 1996, began his scientific career at the Faculty of Biology at the University of Belgrade, focusing on molecular biology and physiology. However, as he was attracted to the world of biotechnology, his scientific career continued by enrolling in doctoral studies. He became a team member in the Eco-Biotechnology and Drug Development Group, where he began his career as a trainee researcher studying bacteria from different ecological habitats and with different biotechnological applications. Vukašin is trying to discover how microorganisms interact with textile materials, and he is especially interested in those that can help us get rid of textile waste in a sustainable way.
