As early as next week, Researchers' Week will begin across Serbia in the form of a handful of fun scientific activities such as parties, concerts, plays, quizzes and coffee with aliens, which will give visitors the opportunity to gain mental fitness and sharpen their skills before the big, final event, the European Night of Researchers 27 in September.

Promotional program in Belgrade begins on September 19 at the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", which will open its laboratories for future researchers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The very next day, September 20, the Vinca Institute for Nuclear Sciences will open its laboratories.

Online quizzes in cooperation between the ReFocus FLOW and TRAILS project from Serbia and the RING project from Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held on the Night of Researchers website on September 21, 23 and 25. The traditional "analog" pub quiz will take place on September 23 in the "Polet" restaurant. Competing teams will compete in knowledge for interesting prizes, but will also be able to have informal conversations with the scientists present.

Renaissance, the oldest ensemble for early and traditional music in Europe, will perform in the Big Fashion shopping center on September 22.

On Tuesday, September 24, lectures and debates will be held at the Kolarč Foundation, with the participation of Dr. Ivan Spasojević from the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research, prof. Dr. Vladimir Đurđević from the Institute of Meteorology and Brana Pantelić from the Institute for Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering.

Science and technology park Novi Sad will organize a series of pre-activities: lectures "What we learned by going to the Moon" (22.9) and "What we learned from AI" (24.9), promotion of the film "ASTRONA - Astronomical heritage and natural darkness" (25.9) and a workshop on neuroscience "How our brain works" (26. 9). The "Spectra Exhibition" with interactive exhibits from the Museum of Illusions was opened at the same location from September 23 to 26.

The Science Club in Novi Sad is organizing a Science Show on September 24, and on September 26, the podcast "In the Lab" is on the program.

Niš has prepared an extremely diverse program: "Paths of Science" will be held in the Gymnasium "Bora Stanković" on 23 September in the form of a conversation between Milan Milošević and Slobodan Bubnjević, in the Science Club on 24 September there will be "Exciting Biotechnology in Pharmacy" and in the Makers Lab at ETŠ "Mija Stanimirović" on 25 June, the topic will be climate challenges.

A rich program in Ranovac begins on September 23 in the form of a set of interactive workshops "Guest Researcher" in the Science Club and Primary School "Jovan Šerbanović". The same school will hold the workshop "Life of a T-shirt" on September 23, and, together with the Secondary School "Mladost", will host the workshop "Let's build a bridge between tradition and the future".

September 24 and 25. 15. European night of researchers will be held on September 27 between 4 and 10 p.m Belgrade, Smederevo, Kragujevac, Čačak, Kruševac, Ranovac, Zaječar, Niš, Pirot, Leskovac, Subotica, Mokrina, Kikinda, Novi Sad, Inđija and Šabac.

The event is organized with the support of the European Commission throughout the Old Continent, with the aim of affirming researchers and science in an interesting way, bringing their work closer to the general public and encouraging young people to opt for a scientific and research career.

This great scientific adventure in Serbia is realized through two projects: ReFocuS FLOW and TRAILS.

Project coordinator ReFocus FLOW (Road to Friday of Science FLOWs) is the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" - an Institute of national importance for the Republic of Serbia, in partnership with the Center for the Promotion of Science, the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Niš and the University of Kragujevac.

Project coordinator TRAILS (TRAIN RESPONSIBLE AI LEARNING SOCIETY) is a creative educational center in partnership with the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad, the Association of Scientific Communicators NAUKOM, the College of Vocational Studies from Subotica and the Center for the Promotion of Science

The projects were financed from the "HORIZON EUROPE" program, the largest program of the European Union for research and innovation activities, within the "Maria Sklodovska-Curie" sub-program and with the support of the EU Delegation in the Republic of Serbia.

At this year's European Night of Researchers, the current programs and funds of the European Union available for the realization of scientific, artistic, entrepreneurial and other ideas will be presented, as well as the support of the SAIGE Project (Acceleration of Innovations and Encouraging the Growth of Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Serbia), dedicated to strengthening scientific research and innovative entrepreneurship in the Republic of Serbia, jointly implemented by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the World Bank and the European Union.
